Hey there and happy Friday to ya!  It’s going to be a rainy warm day on the East Coast, and Reagan and I are off to hang with my sister and my sweet nephews for the morning.  Then we’ll probably get some things done around the house before doing our weekly Costco run.  Luckily this kid LOVES running errands and helping around the house, so it’s a win-win for both of us.  This weekend we have grand plans to install some garage organization and FINALLY start getting things were we want them.  To say I am excited about that is an understatement.  #youknowyoureanadultwhen  So with that I’ve got some fun life updates coming your way this morning.  Here goes!

Over New Year’s weekend we took the kids to Chipotle for lunch.  I love that they get as excited about that as we do.  Raise ’em right!

We are really going great guns putting the finishing touches on Reagan’s room.  We got this nightstand from a coworker of mine, and a coat of paint and some new hardware transformed it into the perfect bedside table for our little princess.  I’m now looking for a lamp – maybe one with little crystals hanging down?

Curly Sue doing some art.  She could sit and color, draw, and cut all day long.  And the curls?  They are the product of french braids and wet hair.  She actually cried when I washed them out.  I always wanted curly hair, so I totally get it.

Recent weekend lunch of a chopped salad kit from Costco with all.the.toppings.  And yes, I eat my salads out of a serving bowl.  There are just way too many fun toppings to fit in one of those small soup bowls…

This picture is from last week when the temps dropped below zero.  I sent this picture to my parents in case they were missing the cold.

My mom in turned sent me this picture back.  Nope, I guess they’re not missing the cold.  We’ll see you guys in April!

Grocery shopping in the freezing rain and snow.  Pushing a cart through 1/2 inch of snow/slush is harder than you would think.

Reagan got this cute hanging “pod” from Santa, and the kids really enjoy it.  Although what was originally meant to be a peaceful place to rest (the picture on the box showed a toddler sitting quietly reading a book) has now become “how dizzy can I get you before you puke?”

A mountain of rice, beans, and beef covered in cheese and sour cream.  Perfect meal – in my opinion 🙂

We took a family trip to the kinesiologist over New Year’s break, and here is Graham getting muscle tested.  It really is so fascinating to watch.

While putting away our Christmas decorations I came across this card from 2 years ago.  Wow, so much has changed!  And I loved reading the Christmas letter I wrote that year.  I really need to print them all out and make a little book – I have them saved from all the way back in 2008 before these kids were even a THOUGHT.

Nathan gave me a new car radio for Christmas, and he and Reagan had a blast (??) installing it.  It’s so awesome to now have bluetooth for talking on the phone, and I can also stream Pandora.  And my latest discovery?  Podcasts!  #mindblown

Not the best picture, but this is our new Ninja Warrior obstacle course in the basement.  The kids are down there nonstop, and I love that they have a place to get their energy out when it’s -3 degrees outside.

And I will leave you with a picture of one of our recent dinners.  Chicken sausage, sweet potato fries, and asparagus.  We eat french fries A LOT in our house, and our favorite thing is to have a “longest fry competition.”  Ha!

That’s it for me.  I’m off to put my big guy on the bus and spend the day with my little girl.  She is now officially registered for kindergarten (!!) and I am quickly realizing my time at home with her will be coming to an end soon 🙁
